First-Time Setup

When you open the Gateway in a browser for the first time, you will be taken through a short setup wizard. The wizard collects the information needed to get OptimaGPT ready to use. A progress indicator at the bottom of the screen shows which step you are on.

Step 1 — Accept the licence agreement

Read the End User Licence Agreement and click Accept to continue. You cannot proceed without accepting the agreement.

Step 2 — Register your Gateway

Enter your Serial Key and click Next. Your serial key was provided when you purchased OptimaGPT.

The Gateway will contact the Parker Software licensing service to verify your key. An internet connection is required for this step.

Offline registration: If this machine does not have internet access, click Offline Registration. A popup will display your Machine ID. Contact Parker Software support with this ID to obtain an offline activation code.

Step 3 — Verification

The Gateway verifies your licence and retrieves your account details. This step completes automatically — no input is required.

Step 4 — Create your admin account

Set the username and password for the Gateway administrator account. This is the account you will use to log in and manage OptimaGPT.

Choose a strong password. This account has full access to all Gateway settings, including user management, node configuration, and API key administration.

Click Next when done.

Step 5 — Done

Setup is complete.

Click the button to go to the Gateway. You will be taken to the main interface and can log in with the admin account you just created.

From here, your first task is to connect a Node and add models. See Adding Models.
